Prof. Dr. Dominique Adolphe

Dominique C. ADOLPHE obtained his PhD from University of Haute-Alsace in “Science for Engineering” in 1990 and his HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) in Mechanic from the same university in 1997.

In 1991 he is hired as Assistant Professor at ENSITM*

In 1999 he became full Professor in University of Haute-Alsace – ENSISTM*.

In 1997, he took the head of the Garment Industry Department of ENSITM/ENSISA* till 03/2021.

In 2001 he took the head of International Relationship Cell of ENSITM*

From 2006 to 2008 he became head of the Textile and Fibers Department of ENSISA*

From 07/2016 to 03/2021, he was at the Head of the Sciences Doctoral Program for the University of Haute-Alsace (UHA).

From 08/03/2021 to 01/09/2024, he was the Vice-President in charge of Research at Université Française d’Egypte (UFE) in Cairo – Egypt.

He has been awarded the title of “Chevalier de l’Ordre Nationale du Mérite (France) the 01/01/2021 for his action during the early time of COVID period.

Currently, he is full Professor at ENSISA, invited Professor at Kyoto Institute of Technology (Japan) and involved in the WE-TEAM master program as professor.

His research areas are Nonwoven, Comfort and Tactile Sensory Evaluation textile goods, Functional Textiles and Garments and Nano textiles.

He has supervised 37 PhD works, more than 45 Master works and has produced 85 papers in index journal, 8 chapters of book, 3 patents and more than 155 oral presentations in international conferences.

In 2010, he has been elected and served as President of The Fiber Society (for one year) From 2013 to 2016, he has served as President of AUTEX Association, European and International Association of Universities dedicated to Textiles Industries and as Vice-President of the ETP for Future of Textile and Clothing Industry.
